New York beauty block wall art quilt is my original design.

Size is 51x51inches.

This contemporary art, flower garden wall art, gives a unique dimension to textile art.

It is a fusion of classical flower garden concept with modern New York beauty style blocks. Contrary to the common practice of using solid colours in modern designs, I experimented with hand-dyed and Bali Batik fabrics, which have shades and self designs.This gave the sharp edged shapes ,softness of a flower. Finished it with impeccable free-hand-motion quilting and the elements all came together
The outcome was this vibrant and unconventional wall art that can bring life to any room.

The piece was semi finalist and was shown in international Sydney quilt show.
