Indigo Flight is a one-of-a-kind textile artwork that blends traditional Japanese-inspired techniques with a contemporary minimalist aesthetic.
Hand-dyed using stitched shibori, the fabric reveals soft geometric patterns created through resist dyeing. A delicately embroidered crane, my own original design, appears to emerge from the deep indigo background, bringing a sense of movement, peace, and quiet elegance.
Dense quilting adds rich texture and dimension, making the piece as beautiful up close as it is from across the room.
